Coming and Going
Rebecca Weller will be haveing an art opening on Friday the 14th from 7-10pm.
Come enjoy some snacks and good paintings by an amazing local artist.
The show will be on our walls until Feb. 1st but Rebecca will only be here on the 14th so come get a glance at her and her work.

December Music Happenings

Tonight, December 8, Ryan Adcock is on our stage again with some of his christmas favorites and new songs...come on over from 9-midnight for some tunes.

Next week we have Toby Costello
fresh from his trip to italia...really!
maybe learn some helpful italian phrases, or hear the songs he wrote there.

December 22, Summy and Friends are back again!!
They are the hippest old swing jazz standard jazz fun rockin instrumental group this side of Norwood. I hope they will be bringing us some holiday tunes as well as jazz standards. It's a great show for the family and friends in town. Bring your own instrument and come early if you plan to sit in a chair.

Beau Alquizola and friends will be playing as well. Come early for a good seat and a piece of pie. Kitchen closes at 10:00 for sandwiches and soups.

Closed for Turkey Day

In solidarity with our fellow birds, for those who will no longer be with us after Thanksgiving, The Speckled Bird will be Closed, for a brief time to mourn the loss of so many birds in one week. We will be Closed from Wednesday the 21st until Monday the 26th. Thankyou for your understanding at this sensitive time.

Last night we had Sharon Udoh and friends jammin up on stage. if you weren't here you missed lots of great musicians. I apologize for writing up the wrong date as it was Friday the 16th she played and tomorrow the 17th we have Ric Hickey, not one of Sharon's friends(although they may be unofficially speaking).

Swing Jazz Night

This week come early to find a seat or come and stand to have a dance. We have a great smooth jazz band on Saturday at nine...Summy and Friends are gonna shake some tail feathers at the bird. Check out their web sight at www.swingtimebigband.com.

Next Saturday the 16th we are hosting Sharon Udoh and friends...
Which include Kenn Milner, Eric Falstrom, Lines and Spaces Daniel Bailey, Brandon Dawson and Tupelo Honey. This will be an action packed night with alot of talent on our humble stage once again. Be here or be at home being bored. Doors open at 7:00 and the music starts at 7:30.

Jake Speed At the Bird

This Saturday night at 9:00 our speckled bird will be shaking some feathers with Jake Speed and the Freddies.
If you consider yourself a true Cincinnatian, then don't miss this show.

If you are not a Cincinnatian, then you will wish you were.

October 12th and 13th !!!

On Friday, October 12, from 7pm until close, the café will host Adrienne Reynolds (from Atlanta) along with special guests Mike Fair and the Adventure Seekers, Mike Helm, Daniel Ryan, David Wolfenberger, Matthew Shelton, Sharon Udoh, and Jen Wheatley.

On Saturday, October 13th, we hope to move the fun outside on the piazza starting at noon with Greg Mahan, Chris Collier, Stephen Moore,Janet Presley, Ryan Adcock, Jane Andre, Messerly and Hewing, Todd Lipscomb and a few others. We will be out relaxing with some tunes until 6pm.

Come on over and enjoy some free music with some friends and family.

Updates on Music at the 'Bird

We here at the bird want to apologize for not keeping up with the latest and greatest goings on at the bird. We have a new music calander on the old shower stall door if you come by and visit us. the official speckled bird mac was stolen...( not from the bird )(we have good computer anti-theft gaurds on duty at all times)so we are back in business, on a borrowed computer.

This Saturday at the Bird we will have George Cunningham of the Faux Frenchmen.
He will be playing with John Schmidt. They will be doin some funky live instumental jazz....
which is a rare treat for us here West Norwood. Come move and groove and drink some brews.
